In 2012 some of our members were inspired, with the support of the Church, to set up a Foodbank in Gateshead. We brought together people from other local church groups and together we worked to help the Foodbank to grow and establish.
Today there are three distribution centres, served by a large warehouse and over 100 volunteers. A number of us continue to be actively involved, day-to-day, managing and supporting the work of Gateshead Foodbank. We continue to serve people in our area that suffer from food poverty and also bring them our message of hope.
